Multipodiforme I
It Multipodiformes is a series of interactive sculptures that envision an imaginary superorder of soft-bodied creatures, characterized by their organic, flexible shapes and simple interactions with the environment.
The first sculpture in the series, Multipodiforme I, represents a creature with four hearts. When approached, the creature reacts by producing a rhythmic beating and expelling bursts of air, simulating breath. Its tentacles move to express a sense of anxiety, creating an evocative and dynamic interaction.
The sculpture is meticulously crafted from thousands of beads and 270 meters of ribbons, with the ribbons symbolizing the colours of the flag of A Coruña, the city where it was conceived and constructed.
